Are you looking for a summer job where you can earn money and have fun? This pool management company has been operating since 1970. They hire lifeguards to work at apartment pools, neighborhood pools, and country clubs.

Employer prefers lifeguards willing to arrive before the Memorial Weekend.
If students can stay later than September 2nd we could use them for post season work until the end of September.
Locations: Richmond, state Virginia
Richmond is generally cheaper area for living, but on the other hand it is further from Washington. We recommend to fly to Richmond.
Number of planned pools run in 2019: 60-70
Wage: lifeguard $9.00/hour, overtime wage 13.50/hour
returning lifeguard $9.50/hour, overtime wage 14.25/hour
3rd time lifeguard $9.75/hour, overtime wage 14.625/hour
4th time lifeguard $10.00/hour, overtime wage 15.00/hour
Pay frequency: bi-weekly, every other Friday
# of days per week: 5-6 days
# of hours per week: 40-50
# of hours per week in 2018: 50
# of hours per week in 2019: 55+
Additional hours are possible at the beginning and end of summer season. There may also be additional opportunities for work and compensation by teaching swim lessons or guarding swimming pool parties.
Uniform: Estimated cost for uniform is $30-$60. We will offer free uniforms to participants who arrive before June 1st!!!
Estimated cost of housing per season $1500 (5 payments by $300) + $150 NON-refundable administrative fee that must be paid before each guard arrives.
Rent is deducted from ach payment, utilities (gas, elecrticity, water, trash) are included in monthly cost.
Apartments are furnished with beds, living room table with chairs, microwave, refrigerator, lamps, and Heat and Air Conditioning. Usually 5 or 6 people share the unit, 2 or 3 tenants per room, 2-3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, sink. Participant should provide their own linens and houseware.
Kitchen dishes are provided for each apartment!
How to get to work? Walk, ride a bike or drive a car
Employer locates apartments close to the swimming pools. Students usually ride a bike to the pools with commuting time 15-30 minutes.
In 2019 the students had one car per appartment!!
Pick-up at the airport: Possible
Employer will pick you up between the hours of 8 AM – 8 PM from either RIC Airport, Richmond Greyhound Bus station, or the Richmond Mega Bus station.
