All of properties are luxury apartments which require a great customer service. The pool and pool area must be clean all the time. It is also your responsibility to verify that every person that visits the facility is a resident of the property and must sign in. Majority of pools are just for one guard.
NO LIFEGUARDS are allowed to touch anything in the pump rooms unless someone from our company specifically tells them what to do.

Students can pick up the most hours in the beginning of the season when schools are still open and at the end of the season when college starts.
Wage: $9.00/hour 1st timers, $9.50/hour 2nd timers in New Jersey
Overtime: Time and half to be paid for hours worked over 40 per week
Pay frequency: bi-weekly
# of days per week: 5-6 days
# of hours per week: 45-50 hours per week
Students, who decide to work at Englewood- Clifton- Nutley- Montclair-South Orange- Nutley-Morristown (3)-Morris Plains and Verona, will be paid higher than regular starting rate and will be within an hour drive from NYC
Do not expect to be free on the weekends or holidays. Majority of the swimming pools are open six or seven days per week, including Saturday and Sunday. Please expect your work schedule to include working on the weekends and having days off during the week, as our pools are busiest on weekends.
Uniform: $50 – the uniform cost will be taken out of the first paycheck, as opposed to them having to pay for it upfront.
2 t-shirts, hoodie, shorts and whistle. Girls must wear one piece bathing suit underneath the uniform.
Housing: not provided
Before coming to USA you need to find your own housing and report manager current situation with your searching to employer. Employer prefers to use the Airbnb webiste when finding accommodations after students get the placement for all 2018 season. Max. capacity for one apartment is 6 persons.
How to get to work? walk, bike, car, electrical scooter, public transportation (subway)
Students usually buy bikes which cost aprox $100.
Pick-up at the airport: not provided
Lifeguards should try to arrive to Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ. It is the closest airport to pool locations and public transportation is easily available. Employer advises you to go straight to your accommodations and contact them as soon as you are settled in so they can plan to meet with you. If you have any troubles you can always call employer.
Public transportation in New Jersey and New York is reliable and connects all the major areas. You can easily get from Jersey City, NJ to Manhattan by train, bus or ferry in half an hour.
