Pools are located in condos or apartments complexes, HOA (homeowner association). Long Island is little bit more expensive than other parts of states.

Uniform: Estimated cost for lifeguard uniform $80. Female Guards must provide their own lifeguard swim suit.
Housing: provided by employer
Estimated cost of housing per season $1500 (utilities and internet access are included) + deposit $200.
Apts are furnished with beds, bedding (pillow, sheets, comforter or quilt), table and chairs, silverware, pots, plates etc., shower curtain, cleaning supplies, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Usually 10 students share the house, 2 tenants per room, 6 bedrooms in the unit.
How to get to work? bike or car (10-30 minutes to work)
Students usually ride a bike to work. If they must go to work by car, estimated cost is $10-15 per week.
Pick-up at the airport: Not provided. Lifeguards should arrive to Babylon by train and employer will take them to the office.
