Locations: Atlanta, GA and the surrounding suburbs

Atlanta is a big city with an extensive network of suburbs and towns. Our pools are located all over Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Pool assignments are based on your level of English, arrival and departure date, and number of students in your travel party.

We have pools located in Homeowner Associations, neighborhoods, and country clubs. Each different type of pool comes with it’s own perks. Homeowners Associations and neighborhood pools are generally less busy, and also allow you to live closer to a suburb than the downtown area. Country Clubs are generally more busy, but they usually offer free food, fewer cleaning duties, and allow you to live closer to downtown Atlanta.

How to get to work? Bike, Car, Scooter, Uber, Marta

The distance to your pool assignment can vary.  It can be up to 10 km from your housing.

Marta:  Atlanta’s public transportation system is called Marta.  Marta is a great way to get around the City of Atlanta.  It is not recommended to use Marta outside of the city center.  http://www.itsmarta.com

Bike: Some locations work great for a bicycle.  An inexpensive bicycle and helmet can be purchased for $150+.

Car:  If you purchase a car, Sweetwater can assist you with registration and purchasing insurance.  Usually 4 students will purchase a car together and use for the summer.  Average cost of a used car in good condition is $1,200 to 2,000 plus insurance.

Scooter:  Sweetwater can help students who would like a scooter and deduct the cost from their paycheck.  The scooter and helmet can cost up to $675 US.  The scooter is yours to sell at the end of the summer.

Uber:  Many of the students choose to use Uber to get to work.  This taxi service is inexpensive and available in all locations.

Pick-up at the airport:

Employer will pick you up from the airport and take you to your housing provided you arrive between the hours of 7am and 10pm.  Sweetwater must have an itinerary one week in advance.  At the end of the summer they will provide transportation to the airport.  If you will be traveling before flying out of Atlanta Sweetwater can store your luggage at the office.

Atlanta is the seventh-most visited city in the United States, with over 35 million visitors per year. Some of the most popular attractions among visitors are the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Atlanta Zoo, and Centennial Olympic Park where the 1996 Summer Olympics were held. Atlanta also has the Atlanta Braves baseball team, multiple malls and shopping areas, numerous concert venues, a multitude of restaurants, and great night life.
