Your summer adventure on Fox Island begins with a 45 minute boat ride out of historic Seward into the heart of coastal Alaska. When you arrive at Fox Island, mist-covered pebble beaches and crystal-clear waters welcome you, offering inspiring views of gorgeous Halibut Cove, where sea lions and whales occasionally make surprise visits.

This is a remote location with no other jobs close by. The property is located 45 minutes outside of the nearest town, Seward, Alaska. It is on a remote, private, secluded island with 8 guest cabins, 2 separate restaurants and a total staff size of about 25 people.

We are completely “off the grid” which means that we operate off of our own power system and water system. On your days off, you will travel by our company boats back to the town of Seward for days off. The schedule is generally 5 days on and 2 days off. We provide you with a place to stay on Fox Island and in the town of Seward. All of our housing is shared, shared rooms and common areas with shared cleaning duties.

However, it does rain a lot and those days are much colder. There is a hike on Fox Island and many hikes in Seward, along with plenty of camping opportunities while exploring on days off. The Fox Island Day Lodge, which operates a large prime rib and salmon buffet 3 times a day for up to 700 people a day.
