Food Service Worker duties:
• Prepares food to specifications before and during unit operations
• Properly measures and portions all food items
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
• Cooks all food to proper specifications in a timely manner
• Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, whips, pots, pans, warmers,steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
• Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
• Ensures freshness and quality of all menu items
• Packages all products to proper specifications
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according proper
• Keeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
• Sets up and operates kitchen equipment
• Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet
• Completes end of day inventory and other opening/closing duties in accordance with
company checklists and procedures
• As a returning participant, this position also includes duties to act as a liaison with new participants and assist them to be successful at the job

Truist Park is the home of the Atlanta Braves (baseball). Participants will be receiving more hours during the heart of the baseball season in later June, July
and August. September may bring lower hours per week. October work will either
be post-season games or other events at the ballpark.
Participants will work according to the Atlanta Braves Baseball schedule, for all
Home games. Participants should expect to work 4 to 10 days in a row, then have
approximately 4 days off. Participants should plan to earn the majority of their
hours during Home games only. Participants can plan their travel and 2nd jobs

Uniform: The uniform consists of a culinary jacket or shirt. Participants should expect to pay $40-$50 for a set of jackets or shirts. The exact cost depends on style of shirt purchased. The manager will review options with the participants. Payment in cash or credit card is preferred.
Participants must provide their own white t-shirt, black pants, and black or white rubbersoled, closed-toe shoes. No jeans are allowed.
Jewelry should be minimal with no more than two earrings per ear. No other piercings are allowed. Local health code requirements do not allow participants to have
artificial nails or polish. Nails must be natural. Employer also requires all hair to be
neutral/natural colors.

Participants will be living in fully furnished two or three bedroom apartments at the Ashford 75 apartments. Apartments come with a full kitchen and all utensils necessary to prepare own meals. Participants need to bring own personal necessities such as towels, sheets, pillows, shower curtains, toiletries, etc. WiFi is included.
Approximately 4-6 participants share each apartment, with 2 or 3 participants per bedroom, each with their own bed. Each apartment has at least 1 bathroom. Each apartment has a washer and dryer for laundry and a full kitchen.

A Housing Deposit of $200.00 is due upon arrival. The deposit is fully refunded if housing is left in the condition it was given. An inspection is to be scheduled before departure and students must vacate after inspection. Housing leases are secured
for a period of time that matches each participant’s program dates. Participants are expected to stay in the housing for the duration of their program dates.
Deposit may also be forfeited if participants leave without the notice listed in the Housing Contract

The ballpark has an Atlanta address but is located closer to Smyrna, GA. This is a suburb of Atlanta, which is the capital of the U.S. state of Georgia. It played an important part in both the Civil War and the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement. With a population of close to 500,000, there are many attractions including restaurants, shopping, sports, nightlife, live music, and museums.


There are many things to do in Atlanta from family friendly attractions and history, to outdoor adventures and awardwinning culture. With six professional sports teams and top-notch venues, Atlanta sports provide year-round, live entertainment for thousands of fans. Participants can visit the Atlanta History Center, which chronicles the city’s past,
the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, which is dedicated to the African-American leader’s life, or Centennial Olympic Park, built for the 1996 Olympics, which encompasses the massive Georgia Aquarium.

Minneapolis and the surrounding areas have many museums, parks, professional sport venues, amusement park, restaurants, shopping, lakes and nature ares, and running and cycling trails nearby for participants to enjoy.
Today, often referred to as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together,” the annual Minnesota State Fair is one of the most popular tourist destinations in  tradition is always held the 12 days leading up to and through Labor Day. The 2022 Minnesota State Fair runs August 25 – September 5.
Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs are easily accessible by public transportation. There are buses, taxi cabs, and light rail train lines. Most local fares are $2.00 per ride. Transportation is operated by Metro Transit:
