Job descripton

Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. This position can be physically demanding and you may be required to use chemical cleaning products that could contain allergens. These positions will provide plenty of time off to explore and enjoy the Greater Daytona Beach and Central Florida Area including swimming and walking along 21 miles of sandy beach, kayaking, water sports, Daytona Lagoon water park, Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, and the Marine Science Center. General Manager has past experience with cultural exchange students and has hosted 5 au pairs in her family when her children were young. Applicants must be very pleasant, positive, and easy to get along with.

 

Wage and housing

WAGE:

$13.00 + tips /hour
32 hours /week

HOUSING:

We will be renting an apartment for the students within 3 miles of our property.

Rent: $50.00/week
Housing Deposit: $200.00

A full refund will be available if a physical walk-through of the housing at the end of the contract period shows that the housing was maintained in a clean and responsible manner with no damage.

Free band concerts and fireworks are presented each weekend during the summer at the Daytona Beach Bandshell that provide a great sampling of American music and culture. The Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences provides educational and engaging information about our area and our state’s history and culture. The local Marine Science Center showcases Volusia County’s ecology and preservation efforts. The Daytona Beach Area’s expansive 23 miles of sandy beach provides a wonderful opportunity to meet Americans from all over the country who flock to this area each year for their annual summer vacations.

I will be very happy to provide the cultural exchange students tickets to local attractions and special events that take place in the Daytona Beach area during the summer, including weekly Bandshell concerts, tickets to the Coke Zero Sugar 400 automobile race at the Daytona International Speedway, admission to the local Museum of Arts and Science, Marine Science Center, Lighthouse Park, and opportunities to explore many of our areas recreational areas, including its beautiful beach, natural springs, hiking trails, and kayaking.

We will also provide information to our guests about the exchange students and plan to provide a weekly opportunity for our hotel guests to meet and casually interact with the students.
